This site is yours to use as a Post as well as a District Member. If your Post, Unit or Squadron is hosting any event we want it to be posted here. We are a family! All of us are working towards the same goal and we should all be supporting each other in achieving those goals. I want to see dinners, bingo, breakfasts, bus trips, anything and everything planned at your Post on the calendar. I am working to have a link to the 16th Dist. Website put into the "Post Locater" section of the Department Website. Imagine how easy that will make it for Legion Family Members visiting "The Mighty 16" to find an event at your Post if you have it on the calendar.
President Cox, Cmdr. Klinger and I have learned through experience that by working together as a team we can build a better Legion and better Auxiliary and Son’s Units. By working with each other within your Post you automatically get a better, stronger Post. Better, stronger Posts make the District stronger. American Legion Riders are the perfect example of how well it can work as are Posts that hold Monthly "Family Meetings". Posts that do not host open "Family Meetings" are losing out in so many ways.
Our goal for this year is to work together and support each other. By doing just that within your Post, as well as within the District, you will get a stronger, happier and financially healthier Post. Our focus is your Post. What can we do to assist you? The 16th District Family is here to help you. Are you working as a family within your Post? We have District and higher Department Officers and Committee Chairmen who can help. All you need to do is ask. Please do!
